RICHARD
Richard Wheeler is a native Brit and well-known presence in New York’s hospitality and real estate scenes. After moving to NYC in 2000, Richard brought his creative vision to life—first as a fashion designer, then as a hospitality entrepreneur, and eventually as a real estate developer.
He launched the cult-favorite brand The Emperor’s New Clothes, featured in The New York Times Style Magazine, GQ, Vanity Fair, and more. In 2013, Richard founded Kings Capital, LLC, growing a portfolio of over $175 million through a mix of development and asset management across New York and beyond.
Over the years, a longtime friendship with builder Jonathan Davis drew Richard’s attention toward the craft and impact of single-family homebuilding—and sparked a growing passion for creating homes that blend thoughtful design with everyday comfort. Now based in Jacksonville, Florida, the two co-founded Nest & Vale, a firm devoted to building a limited number of exceptional custom homes along North Florida’s coast. Rooted in family values, community, and craftsmanship, the work reflects Richard’s personal evolution—toward building not just properties, but places people truly love to live.
JONATHAN
Jonathan Davis has been actively immersed in the real estate industry for over 15 years, with a comprehensive, hands-on approach spanning acquisition, development, construction, and resale. His experience is rooted in identifying opportunities from the ground up—whether through sourcing land, overseeing new builds, or repositioning properties to maximize both aesthetic and financial value. With a strong concentration in high-end custom new construction along North Florida’s coastal markets, particularly within the Jacksonville Beach and surrounding areas, Jonathan has developed an in-depth understanding of local market dynamics, zoning considerations, and long-term property potential.
Through years of consistent deal flow and trusted industry relationships, he has cultivated a reputation that often provides early access to off-market land and investment opportunities before they reach public listings. His strategic mindset is complemented by a refined design perspective, allowing him to balance profitability with thoughtful execution. Jonathan’s work is defined by a commitment to quality construction, timeless design, and sound investment principles—delivering projects that are not only visually compelling, but also financially viable and built to endure within competitive coastal markets.
MELISSA
Melissa Davis is a licensed real estate broker at Fluid Realty in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and serves as the Design & Creative Director at Nest & Vale. With a strong eye for detail and a natural ability to see the hidden potential in overlooked properties, she plays a key role in guiding the aesthetic vision of each renovation. Her creative oversight helps shape cohesive, timeless designs that balance functionality with visual impact.
Known for her intuitive approach to space and design, Melissa brings vision and refinement to every project, ensuring that each home is thoughtfully reimagined with purpose, character, and lasting appeal.
ARIETA
Arieta Wheeler serves as the Financial Operations & Accounting Manager at Nest & Vale, bringing a strong background in real estate accounting and professional bookkeeping. With extensive experience overseeing project-based financials, cost tracking, and structured reporting, she ensures that each renovation is supported by accurate financial management and operational clarity from acquisition through completion.
Known for her detail-oriented approach and disciplined financial oversight, Arieta plays a critical role in maintaining fiscal organization across multiple properties, contractor allocations, and project budgets. Her expertise provides the financial structure and accountability that support Nest & Vale’s ability to execute complex renovations efficiently and sustainably.
